1) How to add more keywords to my website?

 

ANS: Adding more keywords to your website is so easy.  Just open the keywords.txt file in notepad and add keywords.  You can either type each keyword phrase per line or copy and paste multiple keywords from a list.  Make sure you pressed the Enter Key at the end of each line.

 

2) How can I remove unrelated keywords from the keyword list?  How to edit typos in the keyword list.

 

ANS: Open the keyword file keywords.txt in Notepad and remove or edit those keywords as necessary. When you edit the list, make sure you have entered each keyword phrase line by line and not added blank lines. Then upload the modified keyword file back to your webhost.

 

3) Some of the keywords don't show any content from Yahoo! Answers®. What's the solution?

 

ANS: If no content from Yahoo!®Answers are displayed, then most probably, that keyword may not be relevant to the Yahoo!Ansers category you selected.  Or the category you selected is not relevant to the primacy keyword you entered.  Some times long keyword phrases with more than 2 words not showing much content.  If enough content from Ebay has listed on that page, then just ignore it. You have enough content for Adsense ads to appear properly.  Otherwise remove that keywords from the keyword list.

 

4) How can I add my own Logo or Banner image

 

ANS: The default logo name is 'logo.jpg'.  Create a new logo image (with the same size of default logo image) and name it logo.jpg.  Then upload it into the Webhost with other files.  If you mentioned a different logo name during the website creation, then verify the Configuration file config.php to find the exact name you mentioned in the form.

5) How to edit my website settings after I created a website.

 

ANS: To edit your website settings, open the Configuration file config.php in Notepad.  Then edit the variables given there.  Here is a screen-shot of a sample config.php file.

 

 

The variable names and values are given in different colors for you to understand easily. When you modify those variables, make sure that they are properly entered within the quotes (“). You can see all variables within quotes except the numeric field.  Keep a backup of all files before you start editing.

 

6) How to change Yahoo!Answers or Amazon Category after I completed a website?

 

ANS: You can edit the Yahoo!Answers Category or Amazon Category by editing the Config.php file. Find a suitable relevant category from the following lists:-

 

List of Yahoo! Answers categories. Copy and paste the category ID into the config.php file.

 

List of Amazon categories. Copy and paste the corresponding category code into the config.php file.

 

 

7) How to edit the template of my website?

 

ANS: You can easily edit the template file (template.htm) using any HTML WYSIWYG editor like FrontPage™, Dreamweaver™ etc. If you are familiar with HTML code, you can even edit the template using Notepad for small changes.

 

8) I want to create my own template from scratch. Is that possible?

 

ANS: Yes.  You can create a template yourself to use with websites created with Content Website Builder™.  After you created a template model, insert the tokens in suitable places.  Tokens are variables for the script to insert values on a page.  For example; the %%TITLE%% token will insert the Page Title you specified for the website.  Another example; If you want to remove the Search Box from the side-bar and insert at the top of the page, just move the token %%SEARCHBOX%% from the sidebar to the top of the page.  This way, you can bring the Search Box into a different place.  When you modify the template, those changes will be appeared in all pages.

Important: Make a backup of all files before start editing a template.

 

9) How Tokens are inserted on a template.

 

If you load a template in your browser, you can see the loaded template something similar to this:-

Tip: Before start creating your own template from scratch, try to modify the template we provided and see how it works. You can download free Website Template from oswd.org and insert Tags as necessary.  Read their terms of use before editing those templates.

 

10) How to add Unique Articles and PLR Content to my website?

 

ANS: You can add TEXT or HTML content to any page you want. To add your own unique content, you have to follow 2 easy steps:

 

STEP:1 Enable Unique Custom content feature in the config.php file.

 

Locate the following line at the bottom of config.php file.

$CustomContent = "none"; // Allowed values: "text", "html" or "none"

Enter "text" to add Text or "html" to add HTML content (type in lower case)

If you want to stop showing custom content, just keep the default value "none".

STEP: 2 Open Notepad or HTML Editor and type or copy &  paste the content you want to add. And save the file as follows:

The name of the file should be in the following format:

key-word-phrase.txt

(words separated by hyphen '-' and a .txt extension at the end.  No spaces allowed in the file name. Spaces should be replaced with hyphen.)

Example:1 If you want to add a PLR article to the dog-potty-training.html , then you have to name the article text file as;

dog-potty-training.txt

The .txt extension should be included whether its a text or html content.

Example:2 To add a custom content to dog-toys.html page, name the content text file: dog-toys.txt

If you choose HTML in the config.php file, you can insert hyperlinks, images, streaming video or even javascript. Note that no <html> or <body> tags should be included in the content, which is already there in the template. Just copy and paste the HTML code for the content you want to insert.  This way, you can add content to any page you want.

If you want to add content to the main page (index page). you have to name the content text file for the primary keyword.

 

11) Why getting 404 (Not Found) errors when click on links. How to rectify this problem?

 

ANS: Make sure you have uploaded the .htaccess file into the webhost with other files. The .htaccess file handles the mode rewrite function and you may get a 404 error if you have not uploaded this file or this function is not available in your webhost.

 

If you are a Mac user, this file may be hidden. In that case, you have to upload the zip file itself to the webhost and unzip files there in the webhost.

 

Even if you have uploaded the .htaccess file properly and getting the same error again, please try the following:-

 

1) Open the .htaccess file in Notepad

2) Locate the first line RewriteEngine on

3) Just under the first line, add the following line:

 

RewriteBase /foldername/

 

The foldername should be replaced with the actual name of the folder where you uploaded the website files.

 

If you uploaded the website files directly into the website root, then add the following line instead:

 

RewriteBase /

 

Now your .htaccess file looks similar to the following:-

 

RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^(.*)\.html$ index.php?pg=$1 [nc] RewriteRule ^sitemap.xml$ sitemap.php [L]

 

(The new line added marked in Red color)

 

4. Then save the .htaccess file and upload into your webhost and see how your site works now.

 

 

12) How to find whether a keyword is relevant to my website before I adding it to the keyword list?

 

ANS: Just enter the keyword into the Search box of your website and press the 'Search' button.  If there is enough content from Ebay, Yahoo!Answers and Youtube, then you can add that keyword into the list.

 

13) Can I add Adsense code generated from my Adsense account directly into the Template?

 

ANS: Sure.  You can copy and paste the generated Adsense code by replacing the default code given in the template.

 

14) Instead of using the default Amazon Banner, how can I add a different Amazon banner or widget ?

 

ANS: Login to your Amazon Affiliate Account and create code for the banner or widget.  Then insert it into the template by replacing the default Amazon banner code.

 

15) Is it difficult to add a CPA Banner or Affiliate link?

 

ANS: Its not at all difficult to add any other affiliate links or banners into the template.  Open the Template in an HTML editor and insert the generated affiliate code in a suitable place.  Save the changes and upload the file back to your webhost as you normally do.

 

16) Can I add any other Text Ad programs instead of Adsense.

 

ANS: Off course, you add any Adsense Alternatives by inserting the code by replacing Adsense given in the template.  Make sure the size of the Ad will fit properly into the place you selected.  For example a horizontal wide text or banner ad is not suitable for the side bar, selected an horizontal text or banner ad. You can see a list of Adsense Alternatives here.

 

17) How can I add an Opt-in form / Subscription form

 

ANS: Insert the Opt-in form HTML code into a suitable place in your template.  First of all decide the size of the opt-in form and where to insert it. The opt-in form you entered in the template will be displayed in all pages.

 

18) How the Sitemap of my websites works? Where the Sitemap is located?

 

ANS: Content Website Builder creates two types of Sitemaps. HTML sitemap and XML Google sitemap.  You can submit the XML sitemap to Google for easy indexing.  The HTML sitemap is for all Search Engines.  When you click on the Sitemap link given in your website, you can see two links - HTML sitemap and XML sitemap.  These are the

19) Where the RSS Feed of my website is located?

 

ANS: You can find Link to the RSS Feed in the Sitemap page.  Submit the RSS Feed to Feed Directories to promote your Website.  You can validate RSS Feed at any of the following Feed Validators:

 

1)  http://feedvalidator.org/

2) http://validator.w3.org/feed/

 

Just copy and paste the RSS Feed URL into the form given in the Feed Validator.
 

20) How to Add my Name and Email address into the RSS Feed?

 

ANS: Just Edit the Config.php file to Enter your Name and Email address into the RSS Feed.  The RSS Feed is not valid without a name and email address.  We highly recommend not to enter your Primary Email address into this field, because the whole world will see your email address and you may start getting bulk promotional messages to your primary email inbox. Create a free email ID for this purpose.

 

In the Config.php file, locate the following lines to add your Name and Email Address:

 

$Email = "webmaster@yourwebsiteaddress.com"; // For RSS Feed. $WebmasterName = "Webmaster"; // For RSS Feed.

 

Save the changes and upload the file back to your webhost.
